Railroad & Mass Transit

Passenger rail, commuter transit, and intercity rail facilities across the tri-state require rail-car maintenance, station restoration, track-infrastructure cleaning, and signal-equipment maintenance.

The Challenge

Rail and transit agencies maintain thousands of vehicles, hundreds of stations, and tens of thousands of miles of track infrastructure. Corrosion, graffiti, and coating failure are constant. Traditional cleaning requires vehicles to be pulled from service and sent to maintenance facilities. Station cleaning disrupts passenger operations. Track maintenance requires possession windows.

Laser cleaning operates on-site at maintenance yards, at stations during low-traffic windows, and trackside during possessions. The process adds no blast media or chemical rinse water to the work area. Airborne emissions are managed with source capture, and passenger-area access, isolation, ventilation, and cleanup controls remain site-specific.

Applications

USE CASE 01

Rail Car Maintenance

Remove corrosion, old coatings, and graffiti from car bodies, underframes, and trucks. On-site at your maintenance yard. No transport to blast facilities. Prepare for recoating on your maintenance schedule.
USE CASE 02

Station Restoration

Clean stone, brick, tile, and metalwork in passenger stations. Remove decades of grime, pollution deposits, and graffiti. Operations-adjacent work depends on scheduling, noise limits, controlled access, and source capture. The process does not create an abrasive-media dust cloud and reduces chemical handling.

USE CASE 03

Signal and Communications Equipment

Clean relay housings, signal masts, communication cabinets, and electrical enclosures. Remove suitable corrosion using test-area parameters and masking or work-zone controls selected to protect adjacent galvanized or painted finishes.
